The Great American Barbecue was created as a fundraiser for the 25-to-1 Fund with the guiding principle of Food, Fun, and Philanthropy. Proceeds from the event will go to charities that were chosen by our all-volunteer organizing committee and key business partners earlier this year.

This year’s recipient organizations are: Children's Miracle Network, Families of SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), Fox 4 Love Fund, Kookers Kare, Inc., St. Mary's Food Pantry of Kansas City, Kansas.

Our sponsors make it all happen. While significant funds have been raised for charity, there are still considerable ongoing operating costs associated with putting on a world-class barbecue competition and the large-scale event complementing it.
