The contestants had to prepare and cook the meat on their own, while a “grown-up” coach was allowed to give advice from the sidelines.
Competitors were divided into two age groups; ages five to ten cooked pork chops and eleven to fifteen year olds grilled steaks. The winner of the ten and under age group was Cody Simpson; John Murphy was the winner of the fifteen and under category. Both received a trophy, and a $100 savings bond from Bank Midwest. |
