Fiesta Grills and Fiesta Executive Chef, Lee McWright, made the Great American Barbecue their second stop in a six-contest tour. At each contest, six “Culinary Teams” battle it out using a Fiesta Gas Grill.

 

 

The contestants, who represent many of the World BBQ Championship teams, grill their dishes to perfection in front of a live audience battling to be the Fiesta Challenge Grand Champion for a winner-take-all cash prize. Although there can only be one winner, each team in the competition is awarded a Fiesta Gas Grill.

To spice things up, each culinary team is given a "mystery box" with surprise ingredients. At this stop, the mystery ingredient was pork butt which had to be used in the creation and presented to a judging panel of local personalities. Each judge awards points in 4 categories; Appearance, Creativity, Taste and Tenderness.
